Great Smoky Mountains NC | Scenic Autumn Sunset Landscape Print

I was lucky enough to stand in front of this beautiful autumn sunset scene along the southern Blue Ridge Parkway just outside of Cherokee, NC, on a chilly evening in early October. It's always a memorable experience when you're lucky enough for the pieces to fall into place after a week of chasing some good light in the mountains, to catch that perfect moment of light as it highlights the details and textures in a landscape with warm tones and a variety of natural colors. For me, this is what landscape photography is all about, a collection of memories that will live on to tell the story long after the moments are gone.
