Cherokee NC Great Smoky Mountains Scenic Spring Landscape

A beautiful spring landscape scene with the fading evening light skipping across the distant ridges of the southern Blue Ridge Mountains and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park near Cherokee, North Carolina. Driving up into the high peaks along Newfound Gap Rd. out of Cherokee during the spring bloom is always a memorable experience. It's such a treat to be surrounded by the sight of the fresh green foliage spreading up the hillsides from the valleys below, and the picture perfect blooming trees that add vibrant splashes of color against the vast mountain landscapes of the national park makes this a paradise for landscape photographers.
