Spring wildflowers in bloom along the Blue Ridge Parkway as a thunderstorm looms in the distance over the high mountain peaks on the horizon. I love days like this out on the Blue Ridge Parkway, chasing the good light and unique conditions that sometimes pop up around dynamic weather systems like this thunderstorm. On this afternoon we had just a bit of warm sunlight breaking through the heavy cloud cover and highlighting some of the ridges, adding some nice depth and contrast to this scenic vista south of Asheville, NC.
