Blue Ridge Parkway Autumn Landscape Photography

Amazing light rays over endless layers of the Blue Ridge Mountains during the fall foliage in the Southern Appalachians. This vibrant autumn landscape was taken from the Blue Ridge Parkway just south of Waynesville in western NC. Crepuscular rays of light are always a favorite subject of mine to see over the distant peaks of the mountains, and the sunbeams on this autumn afternoon were wonderfully intense as they came and went over the period of a couple hours.
