Blue Ridge Parkway Autumn Landscape Photography

Vibrant autumn colors paint the foreground under a brilliant starburst sky on this October day along the Blue Ridge Parkway in the mountains of Western North Carolina just south of Asheville, NC. I loved the way the red leaves in the foreground here really popped with the low angle sunlight backlighting them against the shaded background, and the rays of light coming down on the distant peaks and valleys behind them really added to the depth in this autumn mountain scene. Top it all off with that bright white sun star against a field of blue and this colorful landscape scene just had that "it" factor that stood out to me. I hope you enjoy the view as much as I enjoyed capturing it!
