Blue Ridge Parkway Autumn Landscape Photography

Vibrant autumn colors paint the foreground under a brilliant starburst sky on this October day along the Blue Ridge Parkway in the mountains of Western North Carolina just south of Asheville, NC. I loved the way the red leaves in the foreground here really popped with the low angle sunlight backlighting them, and the rays of light coming down in the distant valleys behind them really adds to the depth in the scene.
