Roaring Fork Waterfall Photography | Great Smoky Mountains National Park

The Roaring Fork area outside of Gatlinburg TN in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is an amazing place to visit at any time of the year. The Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail follows this wonderful mountain river that is rich with natural beauty including numerous waterfalls, historic homesteads, moss covered riverbed rocks, and abundant wildlife including black bears. This small waterfall was located just upsteam a bit from one of the old homesteads, and I was drawn to it by the rich green colors on these beautiful moss covered boulders. The area is very easy to get to from downtown Gatlinburg, and is therefore a popular spot with many of the visitors to the park each year.
