Blue Ridge Parkway Photography | Autumn Sunrise Landscape

The warm light of sunrise over the morning fog at Pounding Mill Overlook along the Blue Ridge Parkway in the mountains of Western North Carolina on a cool morning in October. I'll always remember this morning at Pounding Mill with my photo workshop group, with this gorgeous golden light radiating from the horizon and lighting up the vibrant fall foliage with these lovely warm tones. The air was cold and the high winds weren't helping with staying warm, but I believe they played a part in creating those great streaked clouds in the sky above us, and the experience of it all makes these special moments really stick with you.
