St. Augustine FL Beach Seascape Photography

Waves crashing on the coquina rocks beach at Washington Oaks State Park along the Atlantic Ocean seashore near St. Augustine FL. I couldn't resist shooting some action photos of the active ocean surf we encountered at the beach on this afternoon. The waves were crashing into the rocks with impressive force and sending saltwater spray high into the air, challenging conditions for capturing scenic seascapes in the bright sun, but it also made for loads of fun. It's hard to think of a more refreshing way to cool down in the hot Florida sun than playing in the surf, even if you happen to be shooting landscape photography with a camera in your hand.
