Blue Ridge Parkway Landscape Photography Print | Scenic Asheville NC

Intense light rays burst through the cloud cover and rain down over the valley at Craggy Gardens along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Western North Carolina. The area around Asheville in the Southern Appalachian Mountains is an amazing place to get out and hike during the spring bloom in early June, when frequent thunderstorms provide dramatic skies and lighting, and summer blooms can be found hiding almost everywhere. We were lucky enough to capture this amazing show of golden light rays coming down over the mountains north of Asheville, a rewarding way to end the day after hiking to the top of Craggy Pinnacle.
