Whitesides Mountain Highlands NC Landscape Photography

Highlands, NC is one of my favorite places to visit and scenic landscapes like this are one of the reasons why. The "Rhodes Big View" overlook area offers a great view of Whitesides Mountain and the valley below at any given time, but it is especially striking at sunrise. The dynamic sky over the fog filled valleys in the golden light of early morning really made this scene special in my opinion.
