Great Egret Nesting

Great White Egret Wildlife Photography | St. Augustine FL

Ran down to St. Augustine, FL recently for a short visit and got a chance to play with my 300mm f/2.8 VRII. I shot this Great Egret nesting in the rookery at the world famous Alligator Farm on Anastasia Island. I hope you enjoy the view! Florida has an amazing bird migration ever year, featuring many species including egrets, ibis, storks, spoonbills, herons, and many more. It's a great place to shoot wildlife photography and I always enjoy visiting St. Augustine and soaking in the sights and history of this magnificent region.
