Asheville NC Blue Ridge Parkway Sunrise Landscape Photography

A brilliant sunrise sky hangs over distant mountain peaks rising above the morning fog filled valleys along the Blue Ridge Parkway south of Asheville near Mt. Pisgah in the Appalachian Mountains of Western North Carolina on a cool morning in late September. If you've never been up in the mountains on a morning like this, it's hard to describe the feeling it gives you, like you're on top of the world high above it all.
