Asheville NC Blue Ridge Parkway Scenic Autumn Landscape

The warm light of the morning sun highlights the tops of mountain ridges and the colorful fall foliage in the Blue Ridge Mountains south of Asheville, NC. I had a great time shooting with some friends on this lovely but cold morning in mid October near Graveyard Fields along the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the breakfast at Pisgah Inn afterward always tastes better in the company of great folks! The southern Appalachian Mountains are always spectacular during the height of fall foliage in October, and especially so when you're lucky enough to catch these deep and scenic mountain views when the autumn colors are splashed in some sweet golden light.
