An incredibly beautiful autumn sunrise over the peaks and valleys of the Southern Appalachian Mountains south of Asheville, NC. The East Fork Overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway is such an amazing place to enjoy the vibrant fall foliage and dynamic morning conditions as the sun rises over the mountains. I am always grateful to experience the unique and rapidly changing conditions here in the mountains of Western North Carolina, and to be lucky enough to stand in front of a sunrise sky like this one on a chilly autumn morning in October and capture it in a photograph that allows the experience to be shared with others always feels like a gift.
