Blue Ridge Parkway NC Autumn Sunset Landscape Photography

A fiery sunset over the Appalachian Mountains along the Blue Ridge Parkway during the brilliant autumn season, when the mountain ridges and valleys are all painted up in their peak fall foliage colors. This one was taken while leading my yearly autumn landscapes photography workshop in the Blue Ridge Mountains south of Asheville, NC. It was cold and incredibly windy that evening, but what a view! We were truly blessed to witness this amazing sunset scene in person, a fitting way to end not only our day, but also the 3 day workshop and the autumn season in general.
