2020 Spring in the Smoky Mountains Photography Weekend
This two day workshop class with Dave Allen will cover all of the basics of digital photography while you are capturing images at stunningly beautiful locations in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park outside of Gatlinburg, TN. Dave will talk about subjects such as proper exposure, image composition, the use of various filters, using the available light to your advantage, and more.
This workshop is 2 full days and will include sunrise and sunset photography, so prepare for a full day of shooting and adventure on both days. The group will meet in Gatlinburg, TN one hour before sunrise on Saturday and head to the scenic Oconaluftee Overlook for sunrise shooting. After shooting sunrise each morning, the group will shoot various locations in the Smokies until it is time to stop for lunch to discuss shooting techniques and finish up with more photography at various locations until sunset.
Weather and time permitting, photography locations may include Clingman's Dome, Oconaluftee Overlook, Morton's Overlook, Cade's Cove, Roaring Fork Motor Nature Trail, and more. Admission fees for any locations are included in your tuition. You will be responsible for your food, lodging, and transportation.
